MOMENTUM SUNDAY

With more than 3,000 people saved and hundreds of them baptized in water over the past month at WHC’s Columbus and Elkhart campuses, it’s safe to say that God has graced us with momentum. We are fulfilling the mission of the New Testament Church – bringing new souls into the Kingdom and building up the Body of Christ!

Sunday, Dec. 7, will be a celebration of His momentum in our midst. Pastor Parsley’s special guests will be Prophet Brian Carn, ministering at 10 a.m., and Pastor Tommy Bates, who will preach at the 7 p.m. service. Both services will be streamed live to World Harvest Church Elkhart.

This is a great opportunity to introduce your friends and loved ones to WHC. Invite your family, neighbors and co-workers to come to one or both services with you, so they can experience the momentum for themselves!About Prophet Brian Carn:
Prophet Brian Carn was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and raised in the admonition of the Lord. He received salvation at the age of 8 and began to grow spiritually, while receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

At the age of 12, he began ministering the Word of God and conducted his first three-day revival. Prophet Carn became tired of "church as usual", so he began to seek the Lord with sincere fasting and praying. While on this 88 day fast, he attended a Benny Hinn Crusade in Florida where he was called out. Pastor Hinn prophesied to him that he would walk in the same kind of anointing that the Lord had placed on his life, but "DOUBLE."

Much persecution has come against him because of the stand that he has taken for the things of the Kingdom of God. But when God calls you, He also equips you; his ministry has been authenticated by signs, wonders and miracles.

About Pastor Tommy Bates:
Pastor Tommy experienced salvation at 5 years old; he was baptized in the Holy Ghost at 6 years old. At a very young age, everyone recognized that this young man was destined for the call of God upon his life. Gifted in music, he began playing the guitar, mandolin, and banjo and became the piano player at his home church when he was 8 years old.

He received many powerful prophecies by the old sanctified saints in their little, poor, country church including “You will preach in many nations,” “Your voice will be heard around the world,” and “The anointing of David will be upon you, to cause my people to worship.”

During Pastor Tommy’s teenage years, he experienced a great struggle between God’s will and the resistance of Satan. In 1972 at 16 years old, Pastor Bates prayed a simple prayer that totally transformed his life. “Lord, other people say You want me and You want to use me, but I want to know what You want. Do You really want me?” Those were the last thoughts that Pastor Tommy remembers about that night. From that night forward, Pastor Bates says, “I caught on fire!”

Pastor Bates’ ministry began in the humble surroundings of a little country church and over the years has expanded worldwide.

Listening closely to the direction of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Bates  completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education at Northern Kentucky University. From 1978 through 1981, he taught in the public school system in northern Kentucky. He prospered in his educational career, working with staff and faculty in developing social studies curriculum at the elementary school level. He found favor with parents and students by offering numerous diagnostic approaches to teaching reading skills. At the same time, he served as assistant pastor in his home church and established and maintained a powerful ministry on demand to preach youth camps and rallies, revivals, and conventions.

On December 14, 1979, Pastor Bates married Tara M. Blanton, a young lady from his home church. Sister Tara was also active in the ministry. She taught Sunday School, was a bus captain with her own bus in a bus ministry, sang in the choir, and traveled with ministry teams for revivals.

Tara earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Arts in Education from Georgetown College and a Master of Education from Northcentral University. She began teaching at Community Christian Academy (CCA), CFC’s school.  In 1990, she became the school principal, and today, CCA continues to grow and prosper under her leadership. In 2008, CCA received a special honor from Congressman Geoff Davis for the school’s commitment to quality education and was also recognized by Cincinnati magazine as one of the best private schools in the tri-state area.
